I love when people keep it real! The more I talk to other moms I realize we are all same shadowed by standards of some fictitious woman who doesn’t exist. Carry with with the dirty, stinky and totally relatable humor!

I love this post!! I posted pictures when Ellie Kate cut her hair because although it mademe look like a terrible mother, it was EXTREMELY funny looking and so I posted.I ended up pulling some down because I think people didn’t know how to take it! Be on the lookout, a couple good, honest facebook posts are on their way. They have been ruminating…this is just the encouragement I needed to post!! Love you girl!

Thank you for sharing your heart! I LOVE your post b/c it is so true! We don’t usually post the bad or chaotic times in our lives and then we portray a false view of our life. We can also get caught up in comparing our lives to others b/c it appears they have it all together and they don’t and neither do we. I have actually contemplated deleting my FB acct. b/c I feel like we have become more comfortable writing a couple of lines about our day or choosing to look on someone else’s acct. to see what is going in their lives vs. picking up a phone and calling them or spending time with them in person. As good as technological advances are, I feel like they are eroding away the personal aspect of building community and relationships with others. I beleive we can choose the easy way to communicate vs, sometimes the more meaningful way to relate to others. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think FB is all bad but I believe if it becomes our ONLY outlet to communicate with others then I feel like we are losing out on true community which can be for example, calling someone on the phone for no reason or going to visit with someone and letting them know they are important, or sending them a card, etc. I believe I have fallen into the trap of hiding behind FB and not taking the time to truly engage with others and I don’t like how it makes me feel. I want to be more intentional with others and if FB is hindering that then maybe it is time to say goodbye. I realize this may not be a popular view but I think it may be the best decision for me and how I spend my time. Thanks for being so open and real on your blog! It has certainly given me food for thought and a desire to be more open and transparent with others!
